I was wondering this for the October 1st test that I am going to take. Any drinks out that will help stay a bit more focused and less tired during the test, say when I reach like section 7 or 8?

Oh gosh. I need to know this as well.

Saturday. I have to take a 3 hour test at 8 AM? psh. So not on my planned saturday schedule

^SAME HERE. I’M TAKING THE SAT TEST EVERY WEEKEND UNTIL OCTOBER. CAN’T wait its gonna be so much fun!

lol. What I’m doing (if you are a girl) is curling my hair with curlers. It kinda prevents me to do everything beside computer and read SAT…

And then, when you are done, you get super cute curls ;)

Some people at my school take one of those little 5-Hour Energy drinks before a test, or during breaks to avoid burning out. I prefer a cup of green or black tea. I wouldn’t recommend chugging a Monster or anything like that though, since people tend to get really jittery instead of alert and focused.

Beyond drinks, there’s mints. Or you could try stretching/yoga. Or a tried and true healthy breakfast. But whatever you do, it boils down to getting you in a good mood and properly psyched.

Cold water.

four loko definitely.

anything sweet, like hard candy or gum. Make sure you have about 5 pieces of gum with you. You should have it constantly.

The sugar gives you energy, rather then burn out. But be-careful you can burn out even faster if you don’t have constant sources of sugar… That’s why I said 5 pieces.

Haha seriously before testing I’m bying:

TWIX (5 bars. Might as well. Haven’t had those in so long)
GUM (2 packs.)
Milky way (2. THE FLAVOR)
A bottle of Dr.Pepper (O.O)

Think I’ll get a heart attack? jk.

Simple answer:

A lit. of coffee.

Nothing. I take my tests without any prior drinks that include caffeine such as coffee or coke. I just wash my face with water, perform the morning prayer (Muslim), get in my clothes and hope for the best.

Do what works for you, not what works for others.

Lol I couldn’t help but look back at your name with wide open eyes, when I read that you were Muslim…LOL^

I never said I was a perfect Muslim. At least I don’t have sex with prostitutes when it is completely available to me, at a very cheap price as well, or have sexual relations with any females. And more importantly, I’m not a condescending Muslim either…

Uhh…alright… Chill

Got a 2400 last May. Don’t drink stuff with caffeine, it won’t boost your ability to concentrate; it’ll just make you jumpy. No energy drinks either, same result.

I’d advise eating a protein bar and drinking something with a high protein content. I get hungry during those tests, and i can’t concentrate when I’m hungry. Eating makes me feel full and that’s not good either.

My advice would be to drink something with proteins so you no longer feel hungry without feeling full either. Two birds one stone, you quench your thirst and no longer feel hungry.

What protein shake do you recommend ^

I’ve heard anything with lemons in it, will keep you a tad bit more alert. :)

If you are going to take a protein shake be careful, because they tend to make you crap.

Test what you eat a few days before your SAT so you aren’t surprised by any unwanted “side effects” as mentioned above

I know this is too late but Spark energy drinks are really good for focusing! http://www.advocare.com/products/active/A2094.aspx
