Coffee, Jamba Juice, protein bars, eggs, what?

I tried a half cup of coffee before taking a practice SAT test today this afternoon. It made me concentrate extremely well at first but after the first 5 to 6 sections, I started feeling really crazy as if something inside me was trying to jump out of my body. I couldn't sit still at all and kept wanting to move all over the place. It was really scary because I couldn't control myself. I talked to myself, made weird noises, and just wanted to jump all over the place or roll uncontrollably on the ground to laugh. I resisted this irresistable force inside of me while I took the test - not a good feeling. It felt like I was possessed and I think I might have resembled anyone who was high or drunk.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what foods or drinks to eat or drink before the SAT that will dramatically make me more attentive like coffee, EXCEPT without the crash or burn?

I’m like the complete opposite. I can drink a whole rockstar and nothing will happen. I mean, absolutely nothing at all. It’s just like soda. Coffee is the same thing, it doesn’t wake me up, although I’m not too fond of the taste.

Ginseng tea is pretty good for improving concentration, but to get your juices flowing… have sex before the test.

I always go with green tea, dark chocolate, and almonds.
Although 5-Hr Energy says that… you’re ingesting an enormous amount of caffeine. Also I think that you’re technically supposed to drink them in two portions, which would make them difficult to have before/during an SAT.

@deposition Haha. I usually drink White Mocha Venti from Starbucks w/ Blended Ice and I’m fine. But for the experiment, I decided to try my parents’ hot coffee Nestle mix and I guess it didn’t turn out so good. I think the heat in Socal (around 90 degrees) may have also contributed to my disorientation.
