^^and you guys thought I was a ■■■■■… :D

I don’t necessarily like polyester either, although I can put up with some of it. A few of my clothes are polyester blended with cotton. I’m currently looking for a suit to buy, and I’m trying to avoid polyester like the plague. Wool is the best material for suits, although cotton and linen are fine also, especially for warmer weather.

Many university age men have a hard time finding a properly fitting suit.

Consider the following sizing:

[Determining Your Suit Size](Delberts.com)

Most suits that you find on the rack are standard cut, with waist 6" smaller than the chest. If you are like many university age men with a substantially larger drop (difference between chest and waist), then you may need to find an athletic cut suit, which is pretty rare to find on the rack. Very athletic men may need a custom or made to measure suit, if even athletic cut suits are out of reasonable alteration range.

That actually describes me. I’m what you considered the “athletic fit” size, as I wear a waist size 8 inches smaller than the chest. For what it’s worth, I’m supposed to be a 40 regular jacket, and 32 waist pants with 33 or 33.5 inseam. I never saw an off-the-rack suit with these dimensions. At 162 lbs. and 6’ 3/4" in height, I would say I’m in shape.
