I've just started shopping around for my dorm stuff, and I'd love to see a "blueprint" of a typical room in a freshman highrise. I want to know what size area rug to get, if I will be able to loft my bed, if there will be space for a comfy chair, how big the fan should be, etc. I dunno how to get ahold of all of this information, though? I'll probably be in Denton.

check the resnet site. too lazy to link. I think the rooms are 12x12, maybe 10x12.. I dunno exactly. loft if you like, but i went with the L config which allowed for sex-able beds for both and plenty of floor space.

are the beds twin XL or regular?

^Regular. You can request XL if you're over a certain height (6'5", I think).

Yeah, I checked the reslife site. There are floorplans for the dorms but the size of the rooms isn't indicated. Oh, well. If all else fails I can wait until I get there, but I know it's going to be harder to ask my parents for money to buy a chair after they pay tuition...hah.

A loft bed isn't sexable? Lol, I never thought about it like that. I guess it would really hurt if you fell...hah.

Hahah I just meant in the sense that taking a girl (i have a gf so it wouldn't matter) up to your "cool bunkbed!" doesn't sound like the smoothest thing. Just being humorous really.
