Typical jobs that UW students have

I'm going to be a freshman next year at the UW, and I really, really need money to pay for school. I didn't get federal work study in my FAFSA package, but I still want a job. What are some typical jobs that students have at the UW? I assume many work on the ave? Specific places? Other places? Any insight is welcomed.

Library, Business school, 8 at McMahon/other dorm food areas, By George… hmm. UW Med School (premed students basically), paid research, co-ops (probably too early for you at the moment). Some work on the Ave, but they don’t really open positions too often, as far as I’ve seen.

Some people work in nearby places if they’re from this area; some of my friends work at kumon, brain child learning center, safeway, qfcs, etc…

I personally work in Odegaard.

This might be late, but there are various restaurants/coffee stores/general shops in the U district. If you go looking in the area surrounding the university, I’m sure you’ll find something! You could also check out Seattle Craigslist.
