<p>What kind of typical jobs can high schoolers get over the summer? I'm a rising senior and I plan to take courses of the summer at Rutgers but also want to obtain some sort of a job. So what kinds of jobs should I look for?</p>
<p>Restaurants, life guarding, retail stores.</p>

<p>I work at the grocery store. I have a ton of friends there (I mean, my friends work there as well as me) and believe it or not, I don’t dread it. Weird, right? Whatever.</p>
<p>Ok thanks guys how hard would it be for me to get a job. I have no work experience and am I only 17. School’s not out yet for me so I haven’t really gone job hunting yet because I still have a few finals to study for.</p>
<p>Try to work at places that reflect your interests. What are they? Depending on what they are, your search may be easier or more difficult.</p>

<p>be a lifeguard i am and it is the easiest job on the planet all you do is sit on a chair watch little kids and work on your tan;and get paid for it… honestly what more could you want? :)</p>
<p>Camps and camp kitchens.</p>
<p>Always start summer job identification in January (make a list)</p>
<p>May inquiry calls (visit in person) at each in March to find out which each will begin to accepted applications. Mark your calendar for each.</p>
<p>As each begins hiring, make sure yours on well prepared and on the top of the pile.</p>
