TYPO IN WAITLIST LETTER? Ouch

Last paragraph-

“I congratulate you on your fine record of accomplishments which deserves a much more fitting recognition that I can provide right now.”

yada yada yada. Guessing it should be than?

Ahahaha, that amused me. Oh well. =P

It’s a nice reminder that no one is perfect… AND that it doesn’t matter how many times you proof-read a document, sometimes the brain just goes to auto-correct and you fail to see the error. But how do you think I felt when I caught typo’s in our school’s profile sent to ALL colleges??? Next year’s class won’t have that happening to them, trust me.

this is funny… i never paid that much attention

This is so sad yet hilarious. As if being waitlisted wasn’t bad enough…

Not true, I’ve got waitlisted and I’ve got a “than”.

“I congratulate you on your fine record of accomplishments which deserves a much more fitting recognition than I can provide right now.”

hmm… obviously caught at some point in the process…

lik omg i totallys think that if you got a “than” it means you secretly have an odd number rank on de waitlist and if you have “that” you are an even number. Give me all ur stats so i may compile my data!

=P

lolz.
Also, what was up with the line, “This is not meant to be a consolation prize”…?

I think it means that they are not just wait listing you because you were almost good enough and they wanted to make you feel good, it’s because they actually want you to come and they take kids off the waitlist.

Thanks, that makes sense…I think they should’ve worded it differently, though.
