<p>I emailed the admission counselor who will be reading my application (the one who also visited my school) and accidentally said "I am a perspective student at USC" instead of PROSPECTIVE.</p>

<p>Haha don’t worry - I don’t think it is that big of a deal. if you are really worried, shoot a short email saying something like “Sorry - prospective student, not perspective!”</p>

<p>No you’re fine. I’m sure she knows you mean prospective. If anything you probably gave her a light chuckle to brighten her tedious day.</p>
<p>At this point, you’ve got two options.</p>
<p>You can look like a teenager who was typing quickly and chose the wrong word, or you can email her again and look like you’ve really earned your College Confidential screen name.</p>
<p>IMO, you’re better off with the former.</p>
