So I just realized I made several typos in my common app essay. My computer crashed the other day and I lost them so I had to retype them from hard copies. I didn't have anyone who could read over them and when reading your own work you often miss the typos since you know what's coming next. Now I've just realized I wrote "my" instead of "me," "need" instead of "needed," and and comma where a period should be. Now I'm freaking out. How bad will this look?! Especially Cornell ED?! Should I email the admissions staff? I'm hoping maybe it'll make me look human instead of sloppy.... seriously FML.

Emailing the admissions office couldn’t hurt. Especially if you attach a fully corrected version. They might not accept it as a replacement, but they would probably put it into your file all the same.
