U Chicago Econ vs Yale Econ

Have to select between these two. Any ideals are appreciated.

Chicago- better econ department- by far

Go to Yale first, and then go to Chicago for grad school.

but Chicago seems to have a better overall undergraduate program in my opinion.

Yale undergraduate will give a bigger advantage for graduate school admission...period.

What is the basis for that opinion?

I despise posters who just say "UChicago is better" or "Yale is better." Give reasons; apparent truisms are otiose and, at times, inimical to decision-making.

i cant say much on this topic bc i dont know enough hard concrete facts and stuff to be of much help
but...
omg neil i love your words.
otiose (i remember you saying u used that word in a game of scrabble on the old uncomm app blog :p) and inimical. i need to write all these down to use it on scrabble one day!
but yea people- give reasons behind your opinions! just stating opinons dont really help much!
