u chicago v binghamton v rochester v carnegie mellon

So my son needs to choose between university of Rochester which is offereing him $17K a year in merit aid, CMU wich may match the offer we do not know...and Binghamton University which is $18K a year and therefore an $80 savings over four years... vs rochester and prob cmu...he was also offered admission to university of chicago and may get a $6K a year making it 12K a year more than rochester/cmu and$32K more per year s Binghmaton. Stonybrokk offered him free tuiton but he feels that is a school where everyone clears out on weekends...Money IS an issue. He wants to major in Economics Physics Math -- those are his areas of interest all thoughts are welcome.

I read “Money IS an issue” - Both Stony Brook and Binghamton offer high quality educations - the others are simply not worth the cost. Stony Brook seems to be the obvious choice. and if he is going to go in debt - may as well go to CMU or U of Chicago, but its simply not worth the stress/cost
