I was wondering how U-M determines your GPA? I know they take sophmore and junior year but how do they mark minus's and ap classes? Thanks.

A+ = A = A- = 4.0
B+ = B = B- = 3.0
etc.

Take only ACADEMIC classes (math, science, english, foreign language, social studies) from sophomore and junior year.

No extra points for honors or AP classes.

yea it's bascially a load of crap, they are sorta encouraging you to take easier core classes to get As instead of B+ in AP

Not really.
They consider the rigor of courses without quantification. This gives an advantage to kids who aren't fortunate enough to attend a school which offers 30 APs.
