I posted this on another thread but because that threads title doesn’t say it’s about hotels it may not be useful to those who are seeking that info. I know I was trying to find info when my D first went to AA. So here are my thoughts. There is in my opinion no perfect choice. Here are the Pros and cons. YMMV
Graduate Hotel: Pro: fantastic location. Just fantastic. Con: Very expensive, Bathrooms are tiny with almost no room for your stuff, super dark ( shower has black ceiling and no light… What were they thinking??) and have a weird double door that does not fully close, which means you are guaranteed to wake up entire room if you use in middle of night or early in morning.
Bell Tower: Pro : amazing location. Con: some rooms are very small and have a step up to very small bathroom that is dangerous at night. They do not use comforters on the beds and instead use only sheets with the reason being that you can’t clean a comforter. Apparently they have never heard of duvet covers and high heat cleaning that top hotels use. I could not get comfortable with just a sheet.
Residence Inn Pro: Nice rooms. Decent location but con: expensive and location is getting just far enough away that you may need you car anyway which defeats whole purpose. Somewhat " seedy" location near bus station
Hilton Garden Inn. Pro. Nice rooms. Number one on trip advisor and staff works hard to keep it that way with great service. Near mall and restaurants. Con. Must drive to campus.
Other mall hotels: all ok. Not as nice as Hilton in my opinion.
Sheraton located on other side of road from mall. Pro: nice full service hotel. Con: location even worse than mall hotels.
