U of Minnesota Twin Cities-- help me out

Ok so I want to transfer into CFANS(policy and management) at U of Minnesota. I am at Saddleback CC in California.

Grades:
History Of Film- B (3 units)

1st semester Fall 08:
psych 1- B (3 units)
Trig- D (3 units)
English 1A- A (3 units)
History- A (3 units)

2nd Semester spring 09(tentative):
Chemistry 1A (5 units)
Chemistry 106 (2 units) corequisite to Chem 1A at my school
Cultural Anthropology (3 units)
Speech (3 units)
Microeconomics (3 units)

EC's:
McCain Campaign ( are politics good for college application?)
Marrow Donor Program (Help run bone marrow drives)
Tennis Team JV (10,11) V(12)- received Character Counts award senior year

I know that D in trig is gonna be a killer, but when I decided to take that class I needed it for UCLA. When I decided I was going to do Minnesota, I realized I could take the business Calculus courses instead. Those will be much easier for me.

Any recommendations for other schools in the area of environmental science?

I remember you posted awhile back the same question. I still believe that it will be quite a reach. As far as other schools, I don’t know. I assume your from California?

To add to my previous post, Minnesota has become quite more selective recently. Its working its way up to become a true Big Ten academic institution. Will it catch up to Nothwestern, probably not.

Yes I am from CA. Another question though. Would it be better to retake Trigonometry and improve my grade? I am planning on just taking a Business Calculus course which is the prerequisite for Short Calculus at U of M. Good idea?
