So at my theatre camp, Vance Fulkerson - who is the director of musical theatre at University of Northern Colorado - was our voice teacher. I was pretty impressed by what he said about the school and the program, and really impressed by him (he’s an awesome guy) but I haven’t seen it discussed here often.

Does anyone here go there, or have any particular insight on the program? :)

Vance is directing the production of Hairspray that will be presented at the International Thespian Society festival next summer. My S auditioned for him earlier this year at a state thespian conference. S really liked him, and he seemed to make the auditioning students feel very at ease.

Ooh yeah he told us about that :) Vance is seriously awesome.

Bumping way up! I really love the sound of this program. I like the courses offered, they're SUPER cheap, and they sound just fabulous. I'm echoing Hollylove's original question - any particular insight? I'd like to know anything I can. I'm especially interested in (of course) the rates of admission into the musical theatre BA. If anyone could answer some questions on this school it'd be really apreciated! Also, if anyone's been there before (as a student, for a visit, etc.) I'd love it if you PMed me! Thanks!
