U of R Class of 2022 Applicants Discussion

I haven’t received my decision. Does anyone know the reason. Why are they sending it in intervals. I’m an international student.

my son got in, only after I had to harass his school so send his transcript AGAIN, they said they sent it in October, he went in and ask in December to make sure and they he got an email saying his file was incomplete and it was everything the school should have sent…

he also got the $10k a year scholarship from Xerox

Anyone contact admissions to find out when the remaining ones will be notified? We are still waiting and on waitlist for two other colleges but U of R is her top pick so really want to know soon.

Was admitted earlier this week with an 11k scholarship; 1550 SAT and 35 ACT. Funny question though: I got the Harper Scholarship, which is for empowering women and advocating for their advancement worldwide. I don’t know how to word this, but I can’t think of a single thing on my application that reflects this scholarship…I am a middle class white male that attends an all guys school. Plus, I received an email a few days ago saying “disabilities are accepted here,” even though myself or no one in my family has a disability. Is it possible they confused me with someone else? :-S

Where did you see if you get aid? Is it in the acceptance letter?

@235Shena No the scholarship came 2 days after the acceptance. It was not a full financial letter, however. They said that would be forthcoming.

Thanks for the heads up cj12345

Should I be concerned if I didn’t get any financial / scholarship information yet? I was accepted a week ago

I haven’t received a decision yet, is this reason for concern?

D got accepted and we’ll visit soon to help with the decision. Very happy and she was on the cusp we believe because they asked for additional information, in the form of another recommendation letter, and we think that may have made the difference.

Still waiting, asked admissions and said all decisions will be out by 3/31. So if you didn’t hear back keep waiting and good luck!

For those who have received financial aid/scholarship info, was an email sent to say that this info was ready?

@SuperGymnast_04 yes, it was an email that led you to a financial aid portal (FAOnline)

I haven’t gotten any information on whether i got in or not. should i be worried?

@Interested1945 I would not be worried, they don’t seem to have any pattern to who / when they release some of the admission decisions early. Some are accepted, some are wait listed, some are rejected, some sent in before the priority deadline, some after, some had midyear info sent early, some not… We are also waiting and admissions told me all decisions will be issued by the end of the month. They don’t want to commit to an earlier date, so while it’s hard to read all those who know already it’s not a good or bad sign, just need to wait it out.

Does Rochester require final transcripts for admitted students (senioritis sufferer)

no

Anyone knows if any patches released tomorrow or Friday?

No way to know really, told me by the 31st and no details about any more batches before then… we are just waiting till then and maybe get good news before.

Last year, everything was out on March 22. Should we expect that to be the case for this year? If there are two batches remaining, will they release one this week and another on the next week? Any info?
