U of SC Cybersecurity Specialization - Help

My son has narrowed his choices down to UTenn, UKY, Purdue and USC. He will be a computer science/engineering major (CIS) with focus on a Cybersecurity specialization if he attends USC.

USC offers a specialization in Cybersecuity, but no majors or minors.

I am looking for any parent or student who is or was in this specialty at USC and if they can speak more about it. We do have a department of engineering tour scheduled, but that is not until mid April.

If he might be interested in government work, you could compare all those colleges by searching for NSA, National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD)

“The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) created the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) program as a way to recognize and grant designations to schools that offer rigorous degree programs in information security.”
U of SC is on their list.
