U or Roch or Carnegie Mellon or U of Mich

Ok, here's the rundown.

I love biology and medicine and I want to do pre-med.

I know that U of Roch is excellent for pre-med.
I know that U of Mich is excellent for pre-med.
I DON'T know how good carnegie mellon is compared to the other two for pre-med.

School size, location, etc doesn't matter, only the education matters.

I wanted to go to Roch over carnegie mellon since I believe that it's pre-med education is better, but carnegie mellon has a better reputation. I don't know if the better reputation will give me a better chance into medical school.

any suggestions? asap would be much appreciated :)

i think carnegie's reputation is better known amongst the general populace.....im sure when you apply to med school they're gonna know the caliber of rochester......also, carnegie's more of an engineering type school.....rochester has a much better reputation for pre-med and the sciences over all.....

U Roch is excellent for Pre-med, it has the benefits of an extremely prestigious and well known medical school.
Biomedical Engineering and Optics are huge here as well.

U Mich is excellent in many different fields.

Carnegie Mellon is great for pre-med as well but is better known for its engineering excellence.

In any case - all three are excellent top schools in the fields of pre-med and engineering. Its all a matter of who gives you the most money and which school gives you a good "feel". Sorry - but thats how it usually boils down to =P. Visit each campus and then make your choice. I would strongly recommend against picking a school before you've visited all three. It's definitely worth the cost of the trip.

Good luck! (and let us know where you wind up =P)
