Currently I am deciding between two schools, U Pittsburgh and UB Honors College. I got into both schools for the Business program and I do not know which one I should attend. I have already toured U Pitt and I really like it, however I have not visited Buffalo. Cost is not an issue for me, but what I really want to know is how much of an impact the Honor college has on future internships and job opportunities and is it considered better than U Pitt. Thanks for any feedback.
I would say Pitt unless you REALLY REALLY like bad weather. Or would be in Buffalo during the summer, when it’s really nice.
Honors College makes studying very comfortable compared to the average experience. While Buffalo really has bad weather, Pittsburgh isn’t exactly warm in the winter months and there’s lots of snow. I’d pick the advantages and many perks of Honors College (funded study abroad, internships, research opportunities, honors housing, priority registration…) over “regular” Pitt… especially since cost is not an issue, so if push came to shove and you rally hated Buffalo, you could transfer to Pitt for Sophomore year.
