I haven't been able to find anything on the U-Va website that said anything about scheduling a visit to U-Va. Does anybody know where I could find information, or a link, etc.? Also, does the University have a scheduled visit day anytime this fall? Any information anyone could provide would be great!

They are having visits in the end of October for URMs the HIspanic one is on Friday the 29th and the Black one is on the 30th. I was invited to the HIspanic one, I'm sure you can sign up online.

do they recruit URMs from different states and pay for their trips? i know of some colleges (WashU, Amherst, etc) who have minority/culture/diversity day and they fly over minority applicants from other states...

^^ You do realize that UVA is a public school?

skunk, if I were you, I'd contact the office of admissions about a trip. They can give you all the details you want. You can come for a tour and information session just about any day of the week, and there are special visit days for the engineering school, for blacks and for hispanics. I'm not sure if there are special visit days for whites and asians.
