UA presidents Scholarship for oos student

our DD has been awarded the presidents scholarship at Alabama. We have seen this scholarship referred to as a full tuition scholarship. But if i am looking at the tuition calculator correctly, it appears OOS tuition is 29K… the scholarship is 26K… so is that correct? its a great scholarship… just want to make sure we understand what our cost will be for tuition… bc we initially assumed that it was a full tuition scholarship. thanks

It used to be the full value of tuition. Last year it was $25k, this year it is 26k.

It should be noted that the Presidential also does not cover room, board, fees, books, and other such costs and expenses. Still there are few scholarships like it. Congratulations to your daughter

And for students admitted to the College of Engineering, the $2500 scholarship remains, which helps offset some of those other costs.
