UA vs. UTK

<p>UTK has been missing the boat with high stats in-state kids for at least three years now. I remember seeing these same type of posts three years ago by some parents, we experienced it last year and now this years crop are dealing with it. With their general “don’t care” attitude and complete lack of support for the high stat in-state kids I am not sure how, or if, they end up getting any high stat kids.</p>

<p>One thing for sure, they aren’t wasting any time learning from past mistakes.</p>

<p>OP, if you’re heart is set on UA, make sure to apply for as many external scholarships as you can. You’ll probably need to get a job while you’re here to help pay for school (and those fraternity expenses!). Make sure and get work-study as a part of your financial aid package.</p>
