I'm considering all of these schools and was wondering if anyone had any input. I want to major in nursing, so if you have any info. about their programs it would be great!!!

Pitt is great because it has UPMC
Case has great ties with cleveland clinic

Can't speak in general and don't know anything about the other two, but the U of R campus is absolutely beautiful and immersive. A lot of major research goes on at the school, and it is a pretty top notch college depending on what you want to do.

Keep in mind, the local area leaves a lot to be desired. Rochester is the second more dangerous city in New York per capita behind Buffalo, and security on campus is pretty tight due to the proximity to the inner city. I spent a couple of summers on the campus and heard stories from graduate students about various crime that had found its way on campus.

Besides that the weather is drab and there isn't all that many continual attractions outside of the campus, but that's just kind of the way most of Western New York is anyhow.

If you don't mind these minor details, the school really is a pretty strong choice.

Oh, and last of all (and most important, OBVIOUSLY), the food isn't very good :P

Rochester has Strong Memorial Hospital (where the medical school is) across the street from the River Campus. So relationships with hospitals really isn't a deciding factor.

Both Pitt and Rochester have well-regarded, rigorous nursing programs. It's really a question of environment. Pitt is much larger than Rochester and has a different feel. If you can, visit them both and decide which one is more comfortable for you.
