So I’m in a weird situation where I can’t choose between UB or RIT. I’m planning to major in mechanical engineering and I heard both schools have pretty strong programs. In terms of cost, RIT for me is more expensive, about $7000. While it is more expensive, I’ve heard great things about their co-op program so it’s between co-op or a cheaper school. If you attend or know about these two schools, please let me know which one is better for engineering. Thanks
It’s really a tossup. They both have a good engineering program. I heard the academic experience is better at RIT and they have the co-op program which is really great and may offset some of the cost. But it’s more expensive and some people are not crazy about the social life there(lots of nerdy students but most people tend to find their niche). Buffalo on the other hand is cheaper although its engineering program is still very good and there is more of a party scene there. I would make sure to visit both schools and see which one you like better.
