I think I'm going to end up at the University at Buffalo, but I would like to know how UB and RIT compare. I am also sort of considering Boston U. I didn't like the campus as much when i visited, but are the academics significantly better at RIT than UB? I would be in the honors program at UB going into mechanical engineering.

RIT and UB are of the same level I think
Boston U is better than the others.

I go to UN for Comp Engineering and I think i get a great education for a great price.

I meant UB above, Not UN, it was a typo

Oddly, US News has all three of those schools tied for 60th place in their engineering rankings. I think you have to start considering the other factors - location, size, emphasis on undergrad education, etc.

I like RIT, some major companies recruit there.

30K a year compared to 5K a year.

30% girls vs 60%

easy choice UB

Thanks. I hadn't realized they were on quite the same level academically. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go to UB, but I'm visiting both again this weekend for the final decision.
