UBC tuition for an American with Cdn. citizenship

<p>My son, currently a junior in high school, is considering UBC. He is a US citizen and resides and goes to school in California. However, he does also have Canadian citizenship and a Canadian social insurance number. </p>

<p>For tuition purposes, if he attends UBC, would he be considered an international student?
Would his tuition be the international student rate or the Canadian citizen rate?</p>

<p>I believe he would pay the Canadian tuition, but since he has dual citizenship, I would ask UBC admissions or something just to be sure :)</p>
