UC admission revoked if dropping a non-required/non-major Spring course?

I'm worried my admission might be revoked because:
1. I might need to drop a (non-major/non-prep) course this week (it actually begins tomorrow, as an 8-week accelerated course). I obviously won't be able to report it on the UC Update because that was closed at the end of January.
2. During registration I exchanged a separate course for another course (this new course of course was also not reported as "planned" on the January Update)

I've Completed:
-60 unit minimum UC-transfer requirement (prior to spring)
-IGETC certification (prior to spring)
-TAG requirements

UCSD is where I want to go. I've heard their Admissions office is among the most strict of all UC campuses. Will my admission be revoked in the summer?

In addition to answering, please if you can tell any examples of any cases where you know of a person who has DONE this (dropped a Spring course) and what ended up happening.

Actually you can keep making updates after the January 31 deadline–there’s just no guarantee they will see the update.

I’m actually in the same boat as you, except I received a ‘W’ for the class I dropped. I think I read a post earlier this week that said it doesn’t really matter if it’s not a required course.

You’ll be fine. Just contact each campus individually. Here’s how each campus wants to be contacted: [■■■■■■■■■■■■ - Community College Students: Application Process](http://■■■■■■■■■■■■/cc-app.htm#change-campus)

Thanks both of you. Referencing that Ms.Sun link to UCSD’s portal…where do I report the course change in the TritonLink? I couldn’t find it, any ideas?

Also, while I do appreciate your guys’ posts and don’t mean to take away from them: I’m looking for actual evidence that we’ll be fine and not have our admission revoked besides hearsay. Any available evidence?

They have an update form on TritonLink (Contact Us > Applicant and Newly Admitted Student FAQs > Changing My Information), but the deadline for that was March 1. Call the admissions office tomorrow.

I doubt they’d revoke your admission considering you’ve got IGETC done and the 60 units required. But to be safe contact each UC and let them know, some may not even regard it as an issue. Don’t worry too much :)

I am in the EXACT same boat as you and currently freaking out as well. Except I dropped 2 classes that I initially reported on my transfer update (one of them was a prereq class but read that I didn’t need to worry about finishing my prereqs for my major at ucsd because my major wasn’t impacted) but to still stay as a full time student I added 2 other different classes. I’m actually scared to call them because I haven’t received a decision yet on whether I am rejected or accepted so I fear calling them and have them reject me on the spot (just my paranoia jumping in as ucsd is my first choice!) Please let me know what they say when you call! Thanks!!

I called UCSD for the same purposes. I just received my admissions to UCSD YAY! but I have to drop my calculus 3(I applied for computer science). I ask the representative if my admissions would be revoked and she told me that if I completed IGETC and have 60 units prior to transferring I can drop it. I am going to call 5 more times this week to confirm this. Hope this helps.
