Is it just me or was UCSB and UCD just really hard this year? Not speaking from experience, but based on the seniors that I know.
All UC admissions have been hard this year and getting more competitive in each sucessive year. I have gone through the UC admissions cycle 3 times in the last 3 years with my son’s and niece and each year the average Stats increase along the number of applications. All you can do is your best in school, look at the average Stats for admitted Freshman/Transfers for each campus, make a college list that is balanced, apply and hope for the best.
They got so much harder due to the substantial increase in applicants. It will get even tougher next year as UC’s have become staple schools for people in California to apply to. More applicants = Much tougher competition
This year is hard but I thought a lot of students who are on wait list got in.
Yeah! Wait list was reat generous this year, my friends all got into UCLA
