Uc and Summer WorK

Does anyone know if UCLA and UCB recognize work a student may do in the summer?

the summer before you transfer? i'm pretty sure you'll get credit for a class you took in the summer but it won't factor into your gpa at that school

what do you mean work?

if you take courses in community college and you have not reached 105 community college units your courses will transfer.

If by work you mean employment, then do you mean units for internship or what?

Basically what I'm saying is will classwork that I plan to do the summer after I apply, factor in and help my admissions? Will there be a spot on the fall 08 application that allows me to list classes I plan on taking this summer? For example, I know that there is a spot where I enter in classes I plan to take in the spring, so is there one for summer and if there is will it factor in to my admission?

yes

10 char

wth...not sure how my previous post came before yours

Yes, it had a spot on fall 08 application, and if you meant fall 09 application, there will be. Summer class counts same as normal terms.

You must complete 60 transferable units in the spring before you transfer. If you plan on finishing up 60 over the summer, you will not make it in. However, depending on your major, some assist agreements allow people to finish up major pre-reqs in the summer after you apply. However, your summer courses that you take after you apply don't have much weight in your admissions, rather it just gives you an easier time transitioning by taking more classes to fulfill requirements.

^^^^^^ is the answer you need to pay attention to

Daneortega is right, and I would add that that you are required to complete all IGETC classes in the Spring prior to transfer.
