UC Appeal -- change major?

Hello,

I was denied at both UC Irvine and UC Davis with a major of computer science and engineering. I am planning to appeal based on some misinformation supplied in the application process. Would it further help to change my major? Or is changing major selection not appropriate in an appeal letter?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

I applied to sdsu for business administration and was rejected, but on my appeal Letter I changed my major to economics because all pre- reqs were the same. I haven’t heard anything back yet.
