I was rejected by UCLA as Econ major, my GPA is 3.84 which is lower than average GPA 3.93.
I want to know, can I appeal by switching major? I want to switch to Statistic or Math/Econ which is less selective. Thanks guys!

I doubt that you could, and even if you could it would be tough. If you wrote your essays showing just how much you wanted to major in econ and then you switched to statistics then it would not look good. Did you put down Math/Econ as your alternate major (assuming you did TAP)?
