Hi, so I was wondering if grade improvement fell under “new and compelling” information.
I usually make the high honor roll, but this year I made principal’s despite having a harder schedule (more AP/IB classes).
I’m looking to appeal to UCI or UCSB.
When I talked to my high school counselor about appealing, she told me that getting better grades my 1st semester of senior year won’t make a difference and my appeal will be thrown out. Is she right? Or should I give it a shot?
I’m going into this fully knowing my chances are EXTREMELY low.

Unfortunately it doesn’t. I was hoping it would because I got a 4.7 1st semester senior year but on the appeals sites it says something like improved grades or new honors are not grounds for an appeal. I found out some of my classes were missing on my app so I’m using that but I don’t know how much that’ll help me
