@iwillflyby, I got accepted into CSUN and SFSU. I know someone that got into CSUF like in November. LOL. Did you send in your preliminary transcripts for CSUN? Check your portal for to-do stuff.

@uchappytrain, I got one of those 2 semesters ago too, but I don’t know if its worth your time. I didn’t join the honors program because you need 8 honors courses in order to be TAP certified which many of those offered honors courses I had already taken(the non-honors one). And simply no time to complete the 8 so I figured why risk my GPA? You’ll have been accepted by the time they see your grades for honors courses anyhow right?

iDizzle: You already got accepted for CSUN. I haven’t received any notice yet. Even though I should be a shoo-in. I have not sent any transcript stuff since none was requested. I actually have not had any contact with the school at all.

You should have received a letter from CSUN soon after you applied. It told you to set up a portal account. If you log into your portal account theres a little window on the page that has a to-do list. It should ask you for preliminary transcripts. CSUN is actually one of the only CSU’s that asked for transcripts way early. I really think you should check the portal asap. I sent in preliminary transcripts in like November.

18 baby. almost exactly 2 weeks. its getting real.

UCSC - March 17-April 30, 2012 - Fall 2012 admissions decisions appear on my.ucsc.edu for all on-time transfer applicants

Riverside also begins acceptance decisions on March 1st.

yeah I’m guessing just like the freshman. I’m hoping those who met priority deadlines get the march 1st date.

if I’m accepted to Irvine, I think i might SIR right away, well no. Gotta wait for UCSD too.

Yea Irvine is nice. I like how they have a lot of engineering minors you can take even within the Engineering school.

No point to do it right away. Just wait till the the end of your cycle and weigh all your acceptances.

ha, yeah i know I’m going to do that anyways, ill just be so overwhelmed and excited, and Irvine is sorta my first choice, I’m not really feeling the whole UCSD different general ed requirements.

iDizzle: Oh To-do list? Portal? My college website has a to-do list if that’s what you’re talking about…but… just conveniently, my school website is down for the day. Fantastic huh?

Can you explain to me this “portal” business?

Apparently a letter came home from CSUN saying that I’m a non-resident, I checked my application and it clearly states that I AM a California Resident, according to the application. The thing is that I got naturalized and became a citizen in between the application period and now. Now I don’t even know what the heck I’m supposed to do. I called the Admission and Records and they told me to fill out a residence questionnaire but nowhere in that thing asks about citizenship. So here I am, about to send them a copy of my certificate of citizenship and looking for a way to contact them, and hopefully the other schools, about my change…

P.S. iDizzle, I think I get what you’re talking about. The letter said something about CSUN giving me my id#, which I did get, and making a gmail account on which they will contact us but the thing is that there are no other log-in information provided, I can’t get on the CSUN website because I don’t have a password.

Oh I see, I have no idea about the citizenship/residence business. But yeah, you go to www(dot)csun(dot)edu and you click the myNorthridge portal. They should have given you an account name to set up a portal account. Not sure about the gmail thing, but they contact me through my regular email address that I provided on the application. I never set up a gmail account, only a myNorthridge portal account. Your login ID info should have came in a letter(not email) a few weeks after you applied. Your login ID should have been something like “first.last.123”. That’s how mine is at least. Once you login there will be a to-do-list. Completed and incomplete.

I’m going to the computer labs at UCSD tomorrow to get help with C++ from a friends ex roomate. LOL

two weeks, three days - after today.

Where does it say Irvine decisions come out starting March 1st? All I see is “they will be out by April 30th.” Or are you going off what they did last year?

I believe there should be a list of when the UCs “generally” start sending out decisions…

Anyone know when the TAGs for UCSD roll out?

An admissions officer at UCSD told me TAG decisions will be out mid-March to early April.

idizzle,

get the book by Prata- C++ Primer Plus. It’s like 30 bucks for the next 6th edition. I am taking it online and the book is solid.

@iDizzle I see it now, I set it up. Now they are asking about “preliminary transcript”. I think I’ll just send in official transcripts. Do you know where I can contact them to make changes to my application?
