UC average gpa via collegeboard

<p>collegeboard.com lists the average gpa that incoming freshman have. Is this gpa based on the UC gpa? If it is, is it weighted, unweighted, or an average of the two?</p>

UCLA: 4.15
UC San Diego: 4.07
UC Irvine: 3.95
UC Davis: 3.94
UC Santa Barbara: 3.94
UC Santa Cruz: 3.70
UC Riverside: 3.58
UC Merced: 3.54</p>

<p>Just a guess, but I think it’s weighted total GPA… it’s definitely not unweighted, and I don’t think they would just do the UC GPA, but who knows</p>

<p>It’s the UC GPA. It is calculated and weighted by allowing for some courses to be weighted and others unweighted. It is an odd system.</p>
