@Ohm888 yeah but should I assume they know about the grades for Winter, which I submitted via an email, NOT an official TAU or anything. The request didn’t say it was for which campus. It just said it can be reviewed by any UCs. And by then I was admitted to UCSB already. So it could mean some UC didn’t even look at the grades. What if Berkeley decided to admit me before they see the updates and never took a look at it after. I’m not sure I want to cry
For other people it usually says things like “I agree to complete all UC-transferable courses in the Winter and/or Spring 2016 terms with a 3.0 or higher GPA and no grade lower than a C” - it indicates specific quarters, for me it was just general.
Did you have to update your Winter grade? and what does that part of your conditions of admission say?
@bluemantis I’m already at Cal. You emailed berkeley the winter grades and they never responded? Do you have a copy? I would suggest you do this: contact berkeley with a screenshot of email submitted. Then note the provisional and say something like, “Is this counting the winter grades, which I already sent in and hope you saw.” You’ve kind of thrown it back into their court.
Did any other UC get back to you re email of grades? If so, you could mention (nicely) that you sent to other UCs and heard back, and realize it was an oversight on your part not to verify with Berkeley.
@Ohm888 I got an email from the UC system saying they want me to go on my UC application to submit a TAU around the end of March/the beginning of April. but there wasn’t an option to submit a TAU anymore so I told them and they said
"admissions-review@ucop.edu
Apr 6

Please just attach a copy of your unofficial transcript or a screenshot of your Winter 2017 grades.

Dear Blue Mantis,
Your message response and attachments have been received and added to your UC application record. If we need further information from you we will send another email.
Regards,
UC Undergraduate Admissions
P.S. DO NOT REPLY to this email as it will not get delivered."
On April 21st I got admitted to Davis,
On April 28th rejected by Irvine
Also on April 28th got accepted to Cal.
I didn’t send my grades to any individual UCs but rather through the system. The thing is, at the point on every UC portal, I was told to notice them only when I get a failing grade, which a C isn’t.

That email is the email where the request for Winter came from btw. None of the UCs individually got back to me after my grades submission. I submitted it on April 6, April 21 got in Davis, April 28 rejected by Irvine and accepted by Cal.
*I replaced my name with Blue Mantis obviously my name isn’t Blue Mantis
@csssa13 I didn’t go to the Vice Chancellor’s reception but I went to a welcome event for transfer. It was really fun honestly. Everyone was friendly and warm and stuff. Made me actually want to come to Cal. Before I was kinda iffy and was considering UCSB and SCU instead. People are right when they say you should go visit the campus to help you decide.
@bluemantis then I wouldn’t worry about it. They acknowledged receiving it and admitted you. If by some weird glitch they hold it against you and reject you after the fact, it’s solid grounds for an appeal. But they’re saying they have it.
Can your acceptance be rescinded if your official transcript is received late? My classes end June 13, and it usually takes a week and a half for professors to officially submit final grades to my college’s admissions. Even with expedited processing, I’m afraid my official transcript will come late. Perhaps if I gently pressure my professors to grade faster this can be avoided, but still. Anyone know anything?

Q: My grades will not be available until after July 1. Will you cancel my admission to Berkeley?
Q: I forgot to have some/all of my official documents sent to Berkeley, and now it is past the deadline. Can I still send them?
Q: I am out of the country and will not be returning until after the official documents due date has passed.
Q: I have requested my official transcripts many times, but my school is very slow about providing them.
Q: My official transcripts are coming from a foreign school, and they may not arrive by the deadline.
A: The campus allows you approximately 10 additional days after the deadline to provide all official documentation. After that time, we place a block on your registration, meaning that you are not officially enrolled at Berkeley. While the block does not prevent you from enrolling in classes, your student ID card and all official campus services are not available to you (e.g., health center, food services, sports and recreation facilities, etc.). If official documents are still not provided, your enrollment will be cancelled.
For myself, though, I’m in a little bit of a pickle since my Spring quarter ends June 30th. Since the deadline is July 1, I don’t think the 10 days grace period is enough for my transcript to be processed.
@csssa13 I attended and it was really great! They had representatives from the transfer and career center there, the vice chancellor spoke, two amazing transfer students spoke, and some other individuals spoke as well. There was also a resource fair afterwards which was very helpful.
Is anyone still unable to view their financial aid? I can’t see mine and I’ve opened two cases with cal central and can’t get through to anyone on the phone.
@amunroeee What do you mean by unable to view financial aid? I have an estimate for the year of 2017-2018 (Fall/Spring) but for 2016-2017 (Summer) the gift aid and waivers still says zero.
has anyone tried applying for housing? It only lets me choose summer 2017, there’s no option for fall 2017. Is this happening to anyone else? I tried emailing them twice, but no one has gotten back to me yet. It makes me nervous because I don’t want to be placed the waitlist because of sending in my application too late.
For those who are trying to apply for housing in the fall and only have summer option, just contact the housing department. Their line is not overwhelm like calnet and they are able to fix it right away(only for housing portal issue as far as I know, not financial aid stuff). I did this last week and was really surprise how fast they got the issue resolved. Only 5 mins!
