I just applied to get a cal ID and got the email exactly 30 mins after…
applied 9:16PM got it at 9:46PM
@Orangered123 you look like a strong candidate. Are you able to find yourself in the directory?
So my friend got the option to submit his statement of intent and accept his offer of admission…
@Orangered123 no, I have a 3.9 exactly and I applied to Berkeley as a sociology major.
I applied to UCLA for psych, and I am TAP verified. Got waistlisted.
All prereqs done for those majors at each school.
@amunroeee do you have all your pre-reqs complete, if so you should be a shoe in for admission.
@Eunie314 Did you apply to business economics at UCLA? If so, did you have your prereqs completed before you submitted app or after?
Guys I found a thread from a couple years ago of people talking about how this was a joke to create hysteria

Since we’re all going crazy and getting really worried. Remember everyone, this is just pure speculation based on shaky evidence/knowledge. It could end up being true, but at the same time end up being false. Don’t get yourself too down or too hyped depending on your information. Though it seems that many good stats/ecs/solid transfers seem to have the notification from what I see there are a number of highly competitive applicants that do not have the notification. All hope is not lost. Just take a break. Pray/hope/ect, eat some ice cream and approach this calmly. Check Cal Central if you want, look around, but do it in a calm and relaxed matter.
Just try to make sure you have a game plan for tomorrow though. Maybe be near family, have some ice cream on hand, maybe weed, whatever floats your boat. Take it slow and steady. Things will work out for us no matter what happens with Cal.
Ohhh finally this time of the year came! I remember it was Friday afternoon last year. I kept logging in to the MAP to see if anything changed. At some point they began updating. I was super duper nervous. When I logged in at 4:10 pm, I learned my acceptance instantly even before reading the letter, because there were shiny ribbons and effects all over the screen. I was soooo happy!.. But I try to not express my feeling too much because most of my friends who checked the decision with me togethe got rejected. Some started crying, I awkwardly tried to calm them.
what is the significance of having the 4 addresses? does anyone now
@UCLAorUCBTRNSFR the process took no more than an hour from the time of submission for me

I really hope @UCLAorUCBTRNSFR
All my prereqs are done, which is why I felt confident about ucla. Now for Berkeley I honestly don’t know what to feel but I’m expecting the worst.
@UCLAorUCBTRNSFR I made a Cal email that asked me if I wanted to be in the directory. I said yes, so I have no idea if I found myself it would be for admission or just summer classes/email.
@Hiroaki0422 Mister Cogsci transfer to Cal! How have you been? Are you still majoring in CogSci or have you changed your major to something else?
Whatever ends up happening, I wish you all the best of luck
Accepted (I think)
I got a message welcoming and congratulating me.
Here’s what I’m seeing on CalCentral:

I applied engineering, so it is possible that only engineers have been notified. I still can’t see anything when I check the application status page though.
Let me know if any of you are seeing a page like this:)
Hey Guys!
Sorry, this is random.
I have applied as a an engineering major and if i get in, i know i can’t change my major which is sad.
but i wanted to know if it only applies to the engineering school? like can i change to a major which is taught in the college of letters and science?

@transferrr1234 I wish I could answer that but I’m confused by the whole waitlist thing too! All I know is that we won’t be notified until after June 1st most likely.
@amunroeee Sociology’s 25th to 75th gpa acceptance rate was 3.73 to 3.93. I would be reaaaaaaaaaaaaaly, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally surprised if you didn’t get in. I wouldn’t put much stock in these if that’s the case. Be more hopeful. Even if you don’t get in for some weird reason, you should call them on monday and ask. Write an appeal based on what they say and such for sure.
