Go there, sign in with cal central and check the part that says “my affiliations.” I’m reasonably confident (as any random stranger on the internet without knowledge of how berkeley actually does its admissions and updates and how computers internally change to say things and such can be) that if the affiliation has it listed, “STUDENT-TYPE-PRESIR” you should be in. It’s categorized you as a student who got admitted and is in the pre SIR phase. If it’s “STUDENT-TYPE-REGISTERED or STUDENT-TYPE-NOT-REGISTERED” like mines, then I think you’re in the rejection pile alongside me. 
Though again to emphasize this is all speculation and we could be wrong. Credits go to null on discord for finding this trick. (As far as I know.)
@Orangered123 I also have this portal setup, and mine shows “STUDENT-TYPE-PRESIR”. Not sure what it means. EECS OOS transfer.
@Jbevarts I wouldn’t be a 100% sure but I would say with 80 to 95% confidence that you got in. Early congrats? Good luck though! EECS OOS is hard as hell. Consider sharing your stats?
@Orangered123 I too have PRESIR. Perhaps the new admit guide thing is correct.
Then again, wait-listed students might have the same thing.
@Orangered123 3.99, A- in anthropology :/. All prereqs completed. I took the ACT for the first time a few months ago and my composite was <30. I was displaced from my home for 3 years during high school and made a lot of mistakes. Really bad high school GPA. With some clever leap-frogging between careers and a little wit, I found my way back to education mid-20’s and am really happy. I have been an academic tutor for 2 years and the faculty at my college has found interest in me. I would love to be accepted to UCB.

Does Berkeley close its MAP for maintenance right before letting out decisions like UCLA does?

I’ve been lurking for a while now on this and the ucla thread. Finally decided to make an account so I can comment on recent events. When I requested my calnet ID it took like 30 min and I had the 2-4-2 address thing happen as well as the calnet new admit tours and 4 notifications. In future tasks it also has accept clipper card license and cal 1 card photo thing. So I checked the link and mine also says STUDENT-TYPE-PRESIR. So am I in?
Idk how you came to the conclusion that presir means you got in but I read something similar earlier. How reliable is this and can you explain the reasoning?
