Did i see something wrong? There was no 2nd wave last year?
Last year, first wave SIR deadline is 5/15. No one got off the waitlist since according to cc?
@jjsr2k No there were a couple waves last year too. I’m not sure where you are getting this information.

Check page 33… Also I think someone confirmed through calling the Berkeley office that there will be more “random” admittances off the waitlist in the future. Random is what they said.
can one of you guys just call UCB and ask? i’d do it but i’m an international so it’d cost me a lot.
@tammiluv I called today and asked and all they could say is that applications are still in review and that all decisions will be posted by June 1. I don’t understand why they can’t expedite the process like all the other UC’s which on the most part have already released their decisions (both acceptances and denials) or at least be a little more lucid on the timeline that we are looking at.

I’m hoping that this means we are all being notified tomorrow of our respective admittance and rejection ><. At this point I just want to get this over with.

because why else will they change everybody’s before June 1st – because they’re done admitting off the waitlist

I got off the waitlist, got emails from the department and the engineering school, SIR’d etc. So everything looks good. But I didn’t receive a package in regular mail from the university – just a brief mail from the engineering school welcoming me to Berkeley.
My question – do people accepted off the waitlist get the full admission package in snail mail or is it all done via the internet? It would certainly be comforting to me to get the full admission package like all my other admissions.

@tammiluv Just this forum. Cal has me all confused with their website maintenance and BS.
@masteractivo yeah… I remember staying up for hours after the decision deadline waiting for my waitlist decision from Cal… then checking my portal for 17 days consecutively after the May 1st waitlist deadline… Even though Cal is my dream school its been doing a really poor job in informing its students this year. Honestly, maintenance might actually just mean network maintenance and waitlist decisions (hopefully there are more admittances) might be posted at a later date. People who actually called CC are the only believable ones.
