So first wave won’t be out today?
Awww feels bad
No one got anything yet?
Been anxious the entire day rip
I just called as well. They said: nothing today, first wave in the middle of the month, second wave at the end of the month, maybe even beginning of June.
God damn are they serious right now? SB’s housing deposit is due on the 8th and I don’t have money to just throw around. This might be it for me boys
I just called today, too. No decisions will be released today; first wave in the middle of the month, second wave at the end.
Not cool
I think in some cases you can get most of the housing deposit back. Check with your UC. We’re all feeling the pain
@bonusoceans We are in the same boat. Here is what UCSB housing says on their website: “UCSB does not require a housing deposit when you make your reservation or sign the contract. Fees for freshmen will be due in September. However, there is a cancellation fee. If you cancel your contract prior to September 1, 2018, the cancellation fee is $350. For cancellations after September 1, 2018, the contract holder is held rent responsible until a replacement is found.”

So if you get into Cal you will forfeit $600: $250 SIR fee + $350 housing fee.
this is the worst i just want to know :(( - does anyone know a date?
Apparently the force is not with us today.
Does anyone know how many applicants got accepted this year/acceptance rate and how many got waitlisted?
They just released the 2017 common data set which contains the waitlist info for last year. The info regarding this years waitlist will not be released until next year.
Welp two more weeks of anticipation…
As far as I can see there is a budget issue for the entire UC system, and all the UCs are holding up waitlist decisions until it is resolved. I could be wrong, but I think it is in the hands of governor Brown.

350? At that point I’d rather have the deposit at least there’s a possibility of money back
This is a $ making scheme for the UCs. If you get in off the waitlist at one UC and then pull out of another, you should be able to apply transfer your deposit$ to your new UC. That would be the fair way of doing it.
@kn0wledge Couldn’t agree with you more.
