@kn0wledge wait, wouldn’t funding withdrawal mean less money mean they need to admit more students at higher tuition to cover? that would potentially be a good sign for WL, especailly OOS.
@slaskinn Does the passage of the funding vote mean more or less students of the WL, or does it mean more of OOS vs IS
@JigglyPuffs123 the UCs are negotiating with the student-workers union and one of the things they are negotiating for is a smaller faculty to student ratio. Meaning less freshmen
Any chance the first wave will come out next Friday?
@OldSchoolMPLS how do you know? Do you have a link?
I was hoping I would get a response so that I didn’t have to put a 500$ deposit down for UC Davis. Yikes
One student posted on UCLA waitlist forum that they sent their first wave out today. Any Berkeley action today?
That’s a new account so…
So does that mean less people are getting pulled from the waitlist?
someone from my school got off berkeley’s wait list this weekend for engineering so hopefully l&s will come out soon
Under the helpful links after I click the “Campus Resources” option it says “Campus Resource Guide for Newly Admitted Students”. Except I think it has said that forever. sigh
anyone else heard from engineering majors?
@jumpomatic i highly doubt that, the admissions office was quoted saying “no waitlist updates today, first wave in the middle of the month, then every week after” - yesterday .
I try that on mine. It also links to guide for Newly Admitted students. So I guess that’s just a permanent guide.
@AviSaxena33
Hey, thanks for sharing. Do you think you could share where you got that info too? Thank you
@tanyar they called the admissions office
This might be a dumb question but where does it say what major you were waitlisted for? Does it say somewhere in your portal?
has anyone called the OOA to see whether the first wave will be this week or next?
^yeah can someone call to see if its this week or next?
Just called the admissions office. The lady who answered said they would start updating the portal with waitlist decisions this week.
