Where do you see that UCB extended the SIR deadline from May 1 to May 8? No mention on the website of any change for the deadline.

that’s what someone said on a ucla reddit page that for Berkeley specifically they extended the deadline of acceptance to may 8th.
but that may be false information honestly
Normally there is a large banner on the UC campus website stating they extended deadline. UCR did extend the SIR deadline last year with a banner/notification.

I think the UC’s are being cautious since they were overenrolled last year.

Only UCI and UCSB have specifically stated they were cautious in their admits this year and I have not heard anything about UCB for this year.
