Looks like your choice is just to opt into the waitlist and move on. A change from the last few years since it looks like they dropped the waitlist essay. No updates on their website regarding the waitlist change until this afternoon.

Btw does anyone know if maintaining a 3.0+ GPA in each semester of senior year refers to weighted or unweighted GPA please? Don’t think there’s an issue but wanting to understand all the conditions 100%. TIA!

Yes, but unsure if acceptance is showing the major…based on what I saw briefly for my daughter. It only said L&S
My son got denied by UC Berkeley (Business/Econ).
Some stats:
3.8 GPA, 4.25 Weighted GPA.
Some extracurriculars, not much sports, work experience as lifeguard. Decent essays. Bay Area Public School. 5-6 AP Classes (& scoring 4-5 on AP tests).
Accepted to: UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, San Diego State, and Long Beach State
Waitlisted at: UC San Diego
Denied by: UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Berkeley, and Cal Poly
Congrats to the Class of 2027 (wherever you end up), and Props to all the Parents.

D23 accepted to L&S (unsure about what major she got into, but applied to Data Science as first choice)
GPA: unweighted 3.97, weighted 4.44
ELC Yes
12 APs, majority STEM with scores of 4,5 mostly, couple 3s (five APs in progress though)
