UC Berkeley post-SIR schedule change???

I’m in a messy situation right now, and I’m scared I might get my admissions offer rescinded.

So I reported on my application that I was taking a math class (Calculus 2) at my community college during the first semester of senior year. I ended up dropping that class to join the robotics team (I couldn’t do both at the same time). My justification was that I had already taken Calculus BC my junior year of high school (got 2 A’s and passed the AP exam) so I decided to prioritize robotics over a class I had already taken. Well, the other day I got off the waitlist at UC Berkeley and right away I SIR’d and told UCSB to cancel my SIR. Then, I saw that UC Berkeley requires you to notify them of any schedule changes, and that any changes after submitting an SIR will put your acceptance at risk. I’m really scared of being rescinded, so I haven’t emailed them about it. I decided I will call them tomorrow instead.

I understand that it was my mistake that I didn’t notify them of my dropped class right away.

But has anyone been in this situation before with Berkeley and can shed me some light? What are my chances of being rescinded???

If I were you, I would call the admissions office ASAP. I can’t imagine that this change would be grounds for rescinding you, but I am in no position to make that call. The only way to get a real answer is to ask someone who works at Berkeley.
