UC Berkeley Residence Hall Restrooms/showers (Units 1,2,3)

Hi, as I was looking up stuff for UC Berkeley, I started to wonder how the co-ed restroom works.

Do males and females also share shower stalls? Like can some one just “accidentally” open your shower curtains?
or is it lockable or smth like that?

Thanks in advance.

(per my experience in seeing/being in Units 1 and 3 - probably true in all on-campus dorms) Shower stalls are lockable. There is a little bench, then a shower curtain. The doors go almost all the way down to the floor, as do those for the toilet stalls. No one will walk in on you unless you forget to lock it. It might be a little weird at first seeing both genders go in and out of the bathrooms, unless you grew up sharing a bathroom with different gendered siblings (or parents). You do get used to it.

@Undercrackers do people generally get changed into clothing behind the locked door so that people are generally fully clothed in the bathrooms, or do a lot of people do things like wear a towel?

Heard that a few people just wear towels to and from their dorm room and was just curious how many people actually do that.
