@creating i’m wondering the same exact thing!

@dancer
I’ll keep you updated if I find out anything then. Good luck!

In the class box, I wrote a note that said I will send grades when they come out.

My school uses Parchment so I just sent one via that…

You can fax your grades in … if you call the admissions office, it gives you the fax number in the automated recording. Otherwise press 0 and hold (I know it says “incorrect entry” but if you hang on for a second, the system transfers you to a live person in the admissions office) and ask how you can send in your grades.

so since we’re in the supplement pool of applicants, will we still be compared to other students at our school? (because students at my school are extremely competitive)… or is it just a completely different procedure?

I sent my supplement last night. Hope my responses and good first semester grades get me in!!

Sent from my SGH-T589 using CC

I’m confused which classes to put. Do I put all my classes including classes like P.E. or just put in the ones that are part of the A-G requirement?

When did you guys receive the email asking you to do these questions? Because I received them YESTERDAY when most of my friends received similar emails on the 7th or something. Also, though I got the email only yesterday (I’ve already completed it, my teacher also sent in her rec today), today (after she submitted her rec) I received another email saying that Berkeley did not receive my info and that the questions are due…
I was like O.O I just got them yesterday! (and it says I have TEN days to do them)…
Anybody know what’s up? ]:

@thelazynuke I put all of my classes.

@JTR I got mine on the 10th. I got that email about them being due today too even though I already submitted it on the 20th. I think it is just sent out to everyone. You should be fine.

@Buttafly13 thank you!! Hope you get in :)

Your welcome! Hope you do too (:

Ah, my teacher submitted it Thursday early morning at 12:38AM but it’s a week late! I got two emails reminding me to submit a portion of my questionnaire (which I’m guessing was the letter of recommendation) since it was missing and I had already finished answering all of my questions. Is this going to hurt me?! :(

My friend got a borderline one and I got the disability one but mine was like almost three weeks ago. I found a mistake on my transcript as well so I need to mail my change! Should I just tell them of my mistake after decisions are made or should I mail them now? (ALL the UCs!) I don’t want them to be like “oh, nope to her now.”

From the first page: “UCB has three kinds of augmented review questionnaires, AFAIK. One is for someone who had disabilities or challenges, with a focus on guessing how the person might thrive or flounder at Cal. Another is for special talent, where the goal is to compose a well rounded class of 2012 by including a mix of interesting people to complement the high academic achievers. The first two would move people up whose academic performance alone didn’t make the cut, while the third type seems to be used for those whose stats are high but right at the decision point.”

I recently got the “socioeconomically disadvantaged” set of questions, but the fact is, my stats are up there. 4.5 weighted GPA, 4.0/4.0 unweighted with 2220 SAT and 34 ACT. 770 Chem SAT II and 750 Math II with 740 US History. Immigrant from the age of 7, low income. Am I really borderline? Or is this something else?

^^I have a feeling its something else bro…or at least I won’t be getting in:)

@secondwind

I’m right with you! 4.3/3.9 gpa, 2330 sat, 34 act
Also very low income, does that alone get you the hardships one, maybe?

You know I didn’t expect to receive any type of email regarding a supplemental review from Cal, but they sent me one just today. I’m elated because I finally have some control in the admissions process. Could anyone tell me the percentage of students admitted to Berkeley if they have received a supplemental review?

@givemecollege
Don’t quote me on this, but I think it’s around 30-40%. Can anyone clarify that…? I didn’t expect one either(at all), because my stats are lower than the average. So, I’m really grateful for this opportunity. If you don’t mind, what type of questionnaire did you receive?

@Dancer581
ohh ok that statistic is a little lower than I expected. And mine is just a 12 problem questionnaire. Are their different ones? I had one for Davis which I had already submitted weeks ago and it looks similar except that one was longer.

@givemecollege
I’m not exactly sure about that statistic. The last percentage that was released was in 2005, so it could’ve gotten higher since then. Yes, there are three types that are sent out: borderline, talent, and disadvantaged. It sounds like you’ve received either the borderline or disadvantaged supplement, because the talent one contains 5 questions. Just make sure to respond to the questions thoroughly and send in a great letter of rec on time. Good luck! I also got the questionnaire about a month ago, and I’m hoping they’ll accept me!
