Hey everyone,

I am considering transfering to UC Berkeley from Bentley College. I don't like in California but am considering moving there which is why I am starting to look at schools more on the west coast.

At Bentley College I have a 3.84 gpa for 41 credits and am taking 16 credits this semester. I am a member of a few clubs but nothing great, however I am very active in service learning where I tutor elementary school students with how to use computers or work as teams. I am also a member of the honor's program which is reserved for the top 10% of the class.

I don't know how not living in california will effect my chances, or if I should wait and see if I am going to be moving there. Not sure if my high school stats matter, but I had a 3.2 gpa (3.0 freshman, 2.3 sophmore, 3.6 junior, 3.9 senior) and 1340 SAT ( 700v / 640m ).

At Berkeley I would be applying for a major in either Economics or at the Haas school of business. Any feedback on what my transfer chances are for either program, or if being from out of state I don't really have a chance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
