@laurelmm I was thinking about this as well. But they say “overall 3.0” so I assume it’s your overall GPA from college
@proclus I think they take into account what each school offers so I wouldn’t be too worried.
@laurelmm It’s different for every major, when you get your acceptance they specify exactly what’s required to maintain your admission - for me it was B or higher in two classes I was taking and a 3.0 gpa overall.
Hi Everyone!
Can someone please chance me?

@proclus I think you’ll be 100% fine! Most community colleges only offer introductory courses, hence making those the major requirements. I don’t know any CC that offers philosophy classes beyond the intro. My CC only offers 3 philosophy classes total—all intro. Your classes sound way more intensive, and should actually be way more impressive! I wouldn’t worry, reading your stats you’re definitely in the top 1% of applicants! Also, the incomplete shouldn’t be a problem since it isn’t even for your major. I’m really sorry about what happened at your school, I wish universities actually handled problems besides trying to sweep them under the rug, I wish you the best of luck!
@MLGeeeeeeSuS You’re definitely a shoe-in
@smrider29 what is your major?
should we start some sort of group me or gc?
^do it! Cal Commiserate Chat 2018
Does anyone know a more specific time Cal will release decisions besides “before or on the 27th”?
@Shoumei based on the past three years, it’s been the last Friday in April. It’s always the afternoon around 1-3pm. It’s always been the date they give.
So I’d do the 27th at around 3 just to be safe.
@OhWhatsHerName ok cool, thank you!
@thecolorblue Thank you! I think I remember you from an earlier post? are you also applying to Legal studies?
Hey, as we get closer to the admissions release date I become more nervous. Will someone please chance me? I don’t normally like posts like this but I’m constantly going back and forth in my head of being confident then doubting myself. UCB is my number one choice, then UCLA, then UCSD (born in SD and want to move away).

@laurelmm Chemical Engineering. They required a B in the Bio 1A course (a recommended course on assist) and my second semester of English to be a B or higher.
@getoutmeswamp Definitely right there with you. I mean if I get rejected I’ll sob and then appeal, like what do I have left to lose?
Is it bad karma to start my appeal letter now?
