i want to marry an iphone and watch news all day
@Skepta I’m either thinking of doing regular pr/comm stuff, or going to law school
but its p broad you can do advertising/social media/web content/production but i will also pair w a minor to beef it up
@getoutmeswamp which one did you leave? I left cpp. Within an hour of flying home from orientation I was registered at my cc. When I told my orientation friends I wouldn’t be attending they were like “honestly I might just transfer” YIKES
Debating on whether I should sleep early to stop worrying about letters, or sleep late so I can wake up to the letter…
sounds interesting!, I deadass didn’t know anything about the major which is why I asked.
I went to sonoma state! I almost went to UCSC and then was brainwashed by old ppl telling me to go to sonoma and SIRed before i even visited campus. terrible decision but here i am
anyone here high school class of 2016? crazy that its already been 2 years since graduation
i know like 20+ ppl who left sonoma lol cc is the way to goooo
@judyjacks better late than never! I definitely lied to myself when I convinced myself it would be a great place to go to college bc it was near LA ha ha ha ha ha ha cries im lowkey scarred from orientation
literally traumatized from orientation too sis
@getoutmeswamp dude same id never been to Pomona before orientation ( it’s a great school for many people but it’s not for me)
I visited Sonoma in the 9th grade and while I was on a tour a student grabbed me and told me not to go there, it was very effective
I know a loooot of people who transferred to cc after a semester elsewhere and they’re all so grateful
@getoutmeswamp @flaminhaute lol what made it so bad? I mean I know its not as prestigious as even the mid tier UCs but was it something specific?
at cpp orientation we kept on having to share fun facts about ourselves so ofc mine was that I’m an id twin, and everyone assumed the one other brown girl there was my twin (my twin does not live in this state lmfaoooo)
- some of the people were quite nice though
that person was me from the future lmao. I convinced like 8 people to leave and go to cc and transfer instead of just gritting your teeth and waiting it out and it is still my proudest accomplishment. i went back recently to visit friends and saw tour groups and also wanted to give a warning but they will figure it out lol. I know a lot of people who love it too but it was def not for me and I just assumed i’d like it
sonoma was full of trump loving racists my suitemate told me to go back to mexico after the election ( :::__)))) ))) but other than that it was tiny and impossible to get the classes you need which forces most people to take 5-6 years to graduate. no one took academics seriously either and it was in literal cow town nowhere like i worked on a FARM when i went there that is all u need to know
also someone was murdered on campus while i went there like ok keep that law and order svu sh it to urself
@Skepta you think that’s long. I’m class of '08
@Skepta during my short lived tenure as a CPP student I got the impression that aside from out of area stem students nothing was very rigorous and admin did not care about students at all. everything struck me as super low quality and the school boasts some pretty alarming stats like a rock bottom graduation rate which I decided was not worth paying that much for. A lot of students are bombarded with extensive remedial work and it’s almost like they don’t want you to graduate on time or get a degree at all. They literally admit students that shouldn’t have graduated high school and end up making them stay for much longer than necessary. Campus was dead af. I Didn’t feel at home at all.
me neither i just wanted to make wine and be fake classy @judyjacks
