<p>Hello all, please tell me my chances for getting into any UC (except for Merced haha)</p>
<p>Am an IB student (all my classes for past 2 years have been either AP or IB)
Unweighted GPA (10-12) 3.69
Weighted GPA (10-12) 4.38
Total GPA Wtd: 3.95 Uwtd: 3.51</p>
<p>AP Tests:
US History: 4
Euro History: 4
Calc AB: 3
Econ Macro: 3
Physics B: 2</p>
<p>Sports:
4 Year Varsity Waterpolo/Swim Team. Captain of both. All league for both. Made CIF Finals for swimming.</p>
<p>EC's:
Boys State Delegate
AP Tutor
Red Cross Club (community service)
Science Honor Society (academic tutoring)
Interact (community service club)
Various hours of community service (about 100 total)</p>
<p>Awards:
All-County Academic Athlete for 2009, 2010
3x 1st team All League for Swimming
AP Scholar
Academic Letter for high GPA</p>
<p>UC’s don’t superscore your SAT. Do calculate your UC GPA, go to the UC Doorways website, find your school, and check to see which AP/Honors classes that you’ve taken are actually considered for honors/ap credit for UC’s. Calculate your new score by giving a point higher to only those classes. Your UC GPA is usually lower than your weighted GPA.</p>
<p>So, assuming that your GPA is at around 3.51 and your SAT is at around 1800 (lowering it because you superscored your SAT) and you’re a CA resident this is what I would say: </p>
<p>Definitely apply to UCSC, UCSB, UCI, and UCD.
If you can write a killer essay, apply to some of the other (UCSD, UCLA). I’ve seen people get in with stats like yours, however, I’ve seen many more get in with better. UC’s are a crapshoot. If you’re a resident and meet minimum UC requirements, you’ve got a chance.</p>
