UC College Prep Elective?

<p>I am an international student from Canada,
I was reading the course requirements, and I noticed that the UC requires 1 year of college prep elective course? </p>

<p>I really have no clue what this is...
I am taking IB diploma.. so can I just list one of the courses as an elective course? would TOK count as an elective course?
or am I not elligible to apply to the UCs if I don't have the elective? </p>

<p>I'm not really sure what TOK is... but, if i remember correctly an elective is like Art or Music or something along those lines.... where's our A-G req's expert?</p>
